ART RESIDENCY POLICY
STUDIOS
Studios are assigned to Artists in Residence based on availability and GOA may access with notice. Studios must be kept in original condition — no permanent changes without written permission. Artists are responsible for any damage. No smoking indoors, on balconies, or in stairwells. No pets are permitted in the studio unless approved. All guests must respect the shared space. Artists have studio access from 6:00 AM–11:00 PM daily. Overnight stays are not permitted. Staffed hours are Mon–Fri, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. After-hours access requires approval. Artists’ guests are allowed to visit only during staffed hours, but may not use the studio or disrupt other artists. Artists may be joined or visited by a partner, family, or friends during their residency, but these guests must remain independent during studio hours. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult other than the Artist. Some program activities may be available to guests with approval and fees. Artists are responsible for their guests’ behavior and any damages. Collaborators must apply and be accepted in order to access the studio.
CONDUCT
Artists must respect communal spaces and fellow residents. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the residency. GOA Artists are independent guests in Morocco and responsible for complying with local laws and cultural norms, and must abide by all GOA rules and policies throughout the residency (outlined in the signed residency agreement). GOA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, gender, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
GOA does not provide health, injury, or theft insurance. Artists are advised to obtain personal insurance coverage.
DEPOSIT
To confirm participation in a residency, an accepted artist is required to pay a non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of the total residency fee within two weeks of receiving the acceptance notification. Failure to make this payment by the stated deadline will be interpreted as a withdrawal, and the residency offer may be extended to another applicant.
The application fee and deposit are non-refundable.
PAYMENT
The remaining 70% balance of the residency fee is due no later than 90 days before the residency start date.
If the balance has been paid and cancellation occurs more than 90 days before the start date, the Artist will receive a full refund of that paid 70% balance.
If an Artist is accepted less than 90 days before the residency start date, the full fee is due within one week of acceptance. Cancellation and refund terms still apply.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
If cancellation occurs more than 90 days before the start date, the Artist will receive a full refund of the paid 70% balance.
Cancellations between 60 and 90 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund of the total residency fee.
Cancellations between 30 and 60 days before the start date are eligible for a 25% refund of the total residency fee.
No refunds will be given for cancellations less than 30 days before the start date. All fees paid will be forfeited.
If Green Olive Arts cancels a residency for any reason, all fees paid (deposit and balance) will be refunded in full.
RESCHEDULING:
If an Artist in Residence cancels and wishes to reschedule, the above cancellation policy will apply. The Artist may schedule a new residency without submitting a new application, pending availability. A new deposit will be required, and any eligible refund from the original cancellation may be applied as a credit toward the new dates (unless otherwise requested). This credit must be used for a residency beginning within one calendar year of the original residency dates. After one year, a new application is required and any unused fees will be forfeited.

AGENCY BOOKINGS
Pay in full on day of booking confirmation. Cancellations more than 48 hrs prior to date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations less than 48 hrs prior to the date are eligible for a 50% refund.
INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS
Pay in full on the day of booking confirmation. Cancel within 48 hrs after payment for a full refund. Cancellations after 48 hrs of booking payment are not eligible for a refund.

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others rights, property, or safety.
