Culmination of Convergence 2017

Convergence2017 Open Studios Night

These 6 artists – Niccy Pallant, Rabia Farooqui, Marthe Vary, Mark Lesser, Hafdis Helgadottir, and Tamadher Al Fahal –  gathered in Tetouan from 6 different countries for 1 month to explore the traditional craftsmanship of Morocco and to create new work in response to all they experienced and learned. The Open Studios Night on April 1st was a great success, giving opportunity for the community of Tetouan to meet the artists (the artisans they had worked with), visit their studios, and see the work they’d created! Check out the highlights below of their experiences this past month and the Open Studios Night, as well as the feature videos of each of the artists.
