Here at Green Olive Arts, we are always eager to share resources that could help artists to continue pursuing their art.
The Sustainable Arts Foundation is a non-profit foundation supporting artists and writers with families. Their mission is to provide financial awards to parents pursuing creative work.
Too often, creative impulses are set aside to meet the wonderful, but pressing, demands of raising a family. The foundation’s goal is to encourage parents to continue pursuing their creative passion, and to rekindle it in those who may have let it slide.
Awards are granted biannually, for up to $6,000 each for individual artists, from any country, who have at least one child under the age of 18. The application for the spring awards will become available online this week, January 15th, 2015. Artist will have until February 27th to apply [DEADLINE PASSED].

If you have been considering applying for an art residency with Green Olive Arts in Morocco, but have held off applying because you didn’t know where the funds would come from, this could be a great opportunity for you, and we can help you as you apply for funding. Once you’ve applied to GOA, and are accepted, you will receive an official acceptance letter and a proposed budget which you can submit in your application for funding from The Sustainable Arts Foundation. These, along with your proposal for your residency time in Morocco, will help the jurors of the grant to see that investing in you and your proposed residency would be a valuable use of their funds.
